As part of my senior capstone at Columbia College Chicago, I collaborated with two classmates to develop an 80th anniversary campaign for the South Side Community Art Center. Our team was tasked with creating anniversary logo concepts, event banners, and a commemorative brochure highlighting the center’s rich history and cultural impact.
We began by researching the center’s legacy and audience, then brainstormed a visual direction that honored its history while feeling vibrant and celebratory. The final result was a cohesive and lively campaign system that reflected the spirit of the organization and unified all event materials.
While the project was highly collaborative, I led the design of the commemorative brochure, including the cover layout, typography, and internal graphics. This required balancing historical storytelling with engaging visual design to create a piece that was both informative and visually compelling.
This project reinforced the value of teamwork, strategic thinking, and clear visual communication in delivering meaningful design solutions that serve the client’s mission.
